i am fairly certain that i will be dropping my class "women in sub-saharan africa" that i am taking online.

i know school started a week ago, but i just got around to reading the syallabus.

this course requires not one, but TWO 15 page papers.

seriously? a class on something incredibly pinpointed and specific?

i don't like writing 15 page papers about things i'm actually interested in. this might just be a deal breaker.

i have been waiting 6 years to turn 24 so that i can claim only my own income on my FAFSA and get government grants to help finance my college education.

due to my dual employment last year, according to FAFSA, i qualify for $0 in pell grants.

ZERO.

i don't have 2 jobs this year.....BECAUSE I AM GOING TO SCHOOL.

thank you, federal government.

hopefully, i can at least get some stafford loans, since i'm not sure how the government thinks that out of what i made last year, i should be able to contribute over $9000 to my education.

ETA#2: ok. i found another one. and i got it to work. and it plays fine in windows media player. but when i put it into powerpoint, it keeps wanting to lag and lock up. fuck you school. and for my own reference....

i would like to point out how much i hate having to use a GARDEN HOSE to fill up the washing machine when doing a load of laundry.

moving right along...

guttermuffin and i are going to be celebrating six de mayo today, becuase we both had to work both of our jobs yesterday and i have a craving for nachos and margaritas (and so far, she's the only one i could con into coming with me).

this will be occurring tonight at 7pm at chimichangas on grand (just north of bates). all are welcome to come. this means you. it is delicious. and you know you want to celebrate.

if anyone is wondering what i want for my next birthday (which is a mere 364 days away), here is my new wish list.

1. not to have it end with me crying my eyes out.

that is all.

3 years in a row of being totally devastated by the end of the vday/bday is starting to take its toll.

kind of makes me want to stab someone. or put my fist through a wall.

also, i am sad that i didn't get to blow out any birthday candles.

i am glad, however, that my friends are awesome. and are probably cooler than your friends. that is, unless, we have the same friends, which might be the case. but if that IS the case, then OUR friends are cooler than other people's friends.
